VICAR SUSPENDED IN CHILD PORN PROBE

A VICAR has been suspended after child porngraphy was allegedly discovered on his home computer.

The Rev Jason Kennett-Orpwood, who is married with three daughters, took the machine to a repair shop where a technician is said to have found images of teenage boys on it.

Police later searched Mr Orpwood's home and books and videos were removed. The 44-year-old vicar has been at Bistre Parish Church, Buckley, North Wales, for 10 years.

Yesterday, as an inquiry started, the vicar was unavailable but wife Gillian said: "We have a computer, but it is used for work. This is unfounded."

CANON Peter Edwards 52, of Caldicot, South Wales, is believed to have killed himself after being charged with indecently assaulting a boy. His body was found at Little Haven, Pembrokeshire.
