McCampbell's Aces

McCampbell's Aces. The McCampbell Aces of Greater Palm Beach, Florida held a Gala January 15th at RADM Swoose Snead's home adjacent to the PGA golf course. A day later they met at the PGA Country Club for a squadron meeting. The indefatiguable VADM Jerry Miller visited and gave a terrific brief on his book, "Nuclear Weapons and Aircraft Carriers." Guests included Navy League and U.S. Naval Academy Association members. At the Country Club dinner meeting a raffle, spearheaded by CAPT Cliff Rigsbee, garnered nearly $700 for the Aces which will be used to promote Naval Aviation. At an earlier meeting, the Aces said goodbye to CAPT John Butterfield, XO and VP, due to his new assignment in Richland, Washington as CEO of Gate Skates, Inc. CAPT Ron Kennedy has relieved him. Welcomed aboard was CMC Mike Welby, former Photographer's Mate and Command Master Chief.
