1998 Europe Business Review Awards

Nominations have opened for the 1998 Europe Business Review Awards for achievements in Australia-Europe economic relations.

Europe Business Review was established in 1995 to report and analyse the A$100 billion links between Australia and Europe in trade, services and investment. EBR circulates in Australia, Europe and Asia.

The 1996 and 1997 winners of the Awards, and other nominees for them, were business and finance leaders in all aspects of the growing economic exchanges between Australia and the 15 members of the European Union (and non-members in all areas of Europe).

The 1998 Awards will be announced and presented in Sydney in November at a reception which will also mark the magazine's third anniversary.

For 1998 a fifth Award category has been added - financial services. This will recognise the growing size and significance of the sector's role in Australia Europe business.

In 1996 and 1997 the Award categories were:

* Best Australian Business Achievement in Europe

* Best Australian High-Tech Achievement in Europe

* Best European Business Achievement in Australia
