After reading your article on Monica Brant, "Figuring Out Abs," in the May issue, I found it interesting that people thought she was bitter or had an attitude. This after finishing so many times in second place.

I don't think many people would appreciate being considered second best all the time. I've known Monica for a long while, and I believe even she should be able to feel negative about her constant second-place finishes without being unfairly judged.
