DoD Identifies Air Force Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of an airman who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Master Sgt. Jude C. Mariano, 39, of Vallejo, Calif., died Feb. 10 in Doha, Qatar. He died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Mariano was assigned to the 615th Air Mobility Operations Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

The incident is under investigation.
