Dear John and Bonnie
John McGrathDEAR JOHN AND BONNIE
Last year I was made redundant from a job that I loved, and now I have to have an operation to remove an ovarian cyst. I went to see a clairvoyant and the reading I got was positive, but puzzling. She read my Tarot and palms and said I was an "old soul" who had returned to this life to be a healer. She pointed me towards education, and I have enrolled on a counselling course. She told me to develop my psychic abilities, but I feel like a student without a tutor. I am curious about my "old soul" and have always felt that my trials and tribulations were learning experiences. Yet there is a limit to the amount of trials I can suffer. J.A., Wiltshire
An old soul is someone who has come back to learn some lessons in order to grow spiritually. We do return for a purpose, but sometimes we end up on the wrong path, particularly when we ignore the inner voice that is always guiding us. If you can learn to meditate and listen to that voice you will not be so confused. Peace and harmony will come in, leaving no room for confusion and the unnecessary lessons which we bring on ourselves - not to be confused with lessons we choose to learn for our spirituality. John and I have no doubt that you came back to help people, and you will make an excellent counsellor. Keep on that path and help people through your own experiences. I have recorded a phone line on finding your psychic level to help people in your position. Go to college, learn, grow and expand your horizons. Life is to be lived for the time that we are here.

Some months ago the Sunday Mirror told the tragic story of Kimba, a lioness kept in a tiny cage and half-starved for 14 years. After an appeal to readers she was finally released, but died just four weeks later. I still feel devastated by her death, and I'm sure there must be others who feel likewise. I long to know that Kimba is free after her tortured and tragic life. C.T., Berks.
Please don't be upset by Kimba's death. She is free, happy and at peace now, and will always be grateful for the happiness she had before she passed over, and for the love that was given to her by so many Sunday Mirror readers.

Is there such a thing as the evil eye? For 10 years my wife and I have had terrible luck. We both had major operations last year and goods we bought were faulty. We try to look on the bright side, but we think someone does not like us. How can we change our luck? R.C., Norfolk.
There is such a thing as the "evil eye", but John and I feel that this is not what is happening to you. When things happen that we don't like, we look for someone or something to blame. Unfortunately, in most cases it is ourselves to blame. We are what we are by the choices we have made. To change your lives, learn to draw a golden light down from the heavens over both of you every day. Imagine a funnel of light gently coming down and relax into it. Draw the same light over your home and it will help take away negative energy. If you do this, you will notice the change in your lives very quickly.

I lost my husband four years ago after 52 years of marriage. Every night I dream of him, which is lovely, but if I wake up and have to go to the bathroom I feel so uneasy. It is as though if I look around, I will see something that will scare me. Can you help me? V.H., Cheshire
You were blessed to have had so many happy years of marriage and it must be very hard for you to be without your husband. Let me reassure you that he is watching over you and protecting you. When you get up in the night and feel uncomfortable it is only your husband's presence that you are sensing. He is there protecting you as you sleep and will never leave you, so there is no need to be afraid.
