British Telecom is facing a $56 million lawsuit alleging that it failed to deliver on a contract for unmetered Internet access. Zone Corp., a British ISP, claims it had been planning to launch a free, unmetered Internet access service in June, based on a fixed-rate contract to use part of BT's network. But shortly before the service was set to debut, BT allegedly told Zone Corp. that it also would be charged by the minute.
