Sowing the Seeds of Peace - Company Business and Marketing - Brief Article
Jennifer GreensteinWhile Jews and Palestinians, many of them teenagers, continue to wage bloody battles in Israeli streets, one nonprofit group is distributing six hours of video testimonials that it hopes will help diffuse the bitterness. New York-based Seeds of Peace, which runs kids' camps in the U.S. and Israel, will start distributing by year's end CD-ROMs to Palestinian and Israeli schools. The discs are filled with the stories of 10 Middle East teens who invite viewers to share their daily lives. The program also helps students create their own homepages, which are hosted on the Seeds of Peace Web site.
Once you've watched a 16-year-old Palestinian girl show off the Backstreet Boys poster in her room, and then visited her Web site, it's easy to imagine Seeds of Peace softening old hatreds better than any international summit.
