Membership report
Richard HortonMembership in the Builders Association of South Florida is about supporting the industry that supports you, and about expanding your business. We all share the common goal and vision of seeing the building industry prosper. When we work together towards this, we build relationships that pay off for the community and for our businesses.
One of our new members is Bryant Integrated Technologies (BIT), a security integration company in North Miami. Its management has seen potential benefits for everyone, and the firm has become one of our most committed members. BIT marketing director Rani Ben-David says that since stepping into his membership, the entire company has become more informed about the building industry's issues, community and legislative affairs, and marketing trends. But, it is the networking opportunity that BIT values most. The company has attended the High-Rise Council meetings and the Annual Planning Session, and is assisting with the plans for BASF's popular annual "Meet the Builders" event. BASF and BIT are also teaming up for a holiday gift-drive for the elderly.
"What good is membership that you do nothing with?" says Ben-David. "When we attended the BASF Annual Planning Session, we were seated at a large circular table, and grouped beside people we didn't know. It made it easy to converse, not only as future business associates, but as friends."
Being a member of an association clearly has its benefits, but in order to reap them fully, members must be active. As BIT has discovered, you will get out of it what you put in.
This is just one example of BASF membership satisfaction. It is our goal next year to provide additional membership services for the benefit of our members.
