Look no further, here it is: Green Plans 101. Fast-paced, well-edited, and informative, this documentary gives a whirlwind tour of Green Plan efforts in Holland and New Zealand that even manages to make rather wonkish issues come to life -- this is the only film I've seen that makes recycling of auto parts seem interesting, if not downright absorbing. Journalist Jack Hamann, a reporter with CNN's "Earth Matters," and co-producer John de Graaf have set o benchmark for environmental broadcast journalism, and remind us why we still need PBS. Green Plans should be required viewing for anyone who deals with environmental policy. Let your senator know about it, ask your library to get a copy, and pester your local PBS affiliate to broadcast it.
