IBM Japan to Strengthen Printer Ops

In a bid to reinforce its printer business, IBM Japan plans to enter the office-oriented color laser printer realm in October. IBM Japan has developed and currently markets large printers but as yet not in color models for the office market. Since nearly all the major printer and computer companies in Japan are stressing color printers in their operating strategies, IBM Japan has hopped on the bandwagon, too. The company is also considering the debut of printers geared to Linux OS.
