CSD Interclub Contemporary Competition

The Winter CSD Interclub Contemporary Slide Competitions was held on January 22, 2000, with entries from seventeen clubs. The host club for the judging was Castle Craig Camera Club of Meriden, CT.

The Best of Show medal went to "The Scythe Man" by Luigi Degan, of the IIFW (Interessengemeinschaft Internationaler Wettbewerbs-Fotographen) of Munich, Germany. The First Runner-up medal was awarded to Anita Weiner of the Photographic Guild of Michigan, for her "Peggy's Cove Pattern."

The next competition will be held in April, with the New Haven Camera Club as judging club.

Morris Photocolor Club of New Jersey judged the fall competition, held October 29, 1999. In this contest, the Best of Show medal was awarded to Robert Schneller's "Blue Eyed Simba". First Runner-up medal went to "Keep the Oil Flowing, Charlie" by Herman Keller. Both makers belong to the Circle of Confusion Camera Club in California.

Interclub Contemporary Slide Competitions are held three times a year. Each club may enter six slides per contest. The Best of Show receives a PSA Gold Medal; the First Runner-up receives a PSA Silver Medal. Honor Awards and Honorable Mention certificates are given for high-ranking slides. Entry fee is $10 per year for all three contests.
