Brock Jones elected Carroll's ASB president

Brock Jones, a 2000 graduate of Ferris High School, has been elected president of the Associated Student Body of Carroll College. Jones is a political science and religious studies major.

Jenny Grummons, daughter of Dr. Duane and Trudy Grummons of Colbert, received a "Finalists Award" for poetry from the International Society of Poets at a Los Angeles convention of the society in November. Grummons, who attends Northwest Christian High School in Colbert, received the award for her submission "Let Me Be."

The following Air Force Airmen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio:

Jason Franczak is the son of Edwin Franczak of Spokane and Connie Cox of Oak Harbor, Wash. He is a 2001 graduate of Shadle Park High School.

Dalynda Baker is the daughter of Jim Baker of Othello, Wash., and Debra Karikas of Scappoose, Ore., and a 2002 graduate of St. Helens (Ore.) High School.

Christopher Wash, a a 2002 graduate of Ephrata (Wash.) High School,is the son of Darla Grubb and Marh Wash, both of Ephrata.

Air National Guard Airmen 1st Class Joseph Steele and Brandon McGilley have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Steele, the son of Pamela Steele of Medical Lake, is a 2002 graduate of Medical Lake High School. McGilley, son of Donna McGilley and Mike McGilley, both of Spokane, is a 1998 graduate of University High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Michael Casey has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Casey, a 1999 graduate of Medical Lake High School, is the son of Rex and Coleen Casey of Medical Lake.
