COMEBACK COULD BRING US NANNY LIZ
Peter MacdonaldELIZABETH TAYLOR is in negotiations to make her comeback in films based on the classic Eloise children's books, .
The movie legend would play the nanny who lives with the mischievous six-year-old and her pets in a Manhattan hotel.
Negotiations began only days after Itsy Bitsy Entertainment chief Kenn Viselman beat big Hollywood studios for the screen rights to Kay Thompson's stories. Confirming the talks with Miss Taylor, Mr Viselman said, only half-jokingly: "I'm ready to give her anything she wants. She is a classic. She's extraordinary. People of all generations love her." In London earlier this year Miss Taylor said she was ready to get back to work but complained: "I can't seem to get a job." Back in Hollywood the actress, who made her last film five years ago, fired her long-time managers and agents and hired a new team to manage her comeback. Mr Viselman's entertainment company is the US distributor of Teletubbies and the driving force behind its astonishing American success. Itsy Bitsy paid between $3 million and $4 million for the Eloise rights which is believed to be one of the biggest fees for a children's book title.
