Yo Wants to Know
Daniel, Lea"Look at them go!" exclaims Yo.
"Ducks have big webbed feet that push through the water like paddles," says Grandma. "Swimming is easy for ducks."
"My feet are just regular," says Yo, "so I have to go to swimming lessons."
"Mine, too," says Grandma. "If we were ducks, our toes would be much longer with skin joining them together."
"Your new flippers are a lot like duck feet," says Grandma.
"Hey, ducks!" calls Yo. "That raft is for people, not birds!"
"They walk kind of funny, don't they?" asks Yo. "Sort of like this."
"Sort of. But they don't fall over," says Grandma. "Come on. Let's give the flippers a workout in the water."
"They're great," says Yo. ''Can we go and visit the ducks? They won't be scared if we're really quiet."
"I think we're too late," says Grandma, "unless you've been taking flying lessons."
