ARE any of us surprised at the news in the Sunday Mirror last week that former politician Jeffrey Archer, who was convicted of perverting the course of justice, will be moved to a more comfortable open prison?

The only reason he wasn't sent to one in the first place is because the authorities knew there would be an uproar. They were just biding their time.
