I WAS surprised to read in last week's Sunday Mirror that the Queen is recycling medals. The pounds 250,000 that is spent each year on the awards is a mere drop in the ocean. The Queen could pay for this out of her own pocket. It's a ridiculous, penny-pinching idea.
