Brendan switched off by TV
Brian KennedyTOP songwriter Brendan Graham won't be watching the Eurovision this year -because he has thrown out his television.
Brendan, 60, has had two Eurovision successes with Rock And Roll Kids which won in 1994 and The Voice which hit the top spot two years later.
This year he is chairman of the panel who will choose the song Brian Kennedy will perform in Athens on May 18.
But Brendan won't be able to see the contest at his home on the shores of Lough Fooey in Co Mayo.
He said: "I love the peace and quiet. It is brilliant for working and we decided to get rid of the TV. We didn't die but it is silent. I am listening to more music now."
It's been a bumper year for Brendan who also co-wrote Westlife smash hit You Raise Me Up.
