Young Hollywood gets awards
Elizabeth SneadLike, who'd bring parents to the Young Hollywood Awards?
Just "Sin City" hottie Jessica Alba, "Real Women Have Curves" delight America Ferrera, "Ice Princess" sweetie Hayden Panettiere, "Joan of Arcadia" cutie Amber Tamblyn and Brit's little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears.
"Desperate Housewives" hunky gardener Jesse Metcalfe, who picked up an Exciting New Face award, didn't bring his folks. But he did have cheering fans in co-stars Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria.
"Jesse, I love you!" said his on-screen squeeze Longoria.
Everyone had sage advice for the newcomers. "You have to work hard and go through a lot of battles with the paparazzi and the press," said the now skinny blond Today's Superstar-winner Lindsay Lohan.
Old-timer Dennis Quaid advised, "If a director ever asks if you can ride a horse, just answer 'Like the wind,' and you'll get the part."
And being nice helps. Halle Berry and Greg Kinnear praised Pierce Brosnan as they gave him Young Hollywood's Ole Model award.
"He's the most caring and protective leading man I've ever had," said Berry.
