Your Letters: Let's give him a good send-off
J. BensonPRESIDENT Clinton takes a curtain call in Belfast next week before he steps down in January and I for one hope that he gets a warm reception.
It's too soon to make any judgment on his successor - even US voters, better informed than we are, have shown how difficult that is.
But we know quite a bit about Clinton. He has taken a greater interest in settling the 'Irish problem' than any of his predecessors.
And Ireland is not the only country to have benefited from his pacifying efforts.
Think what you like about his morality, Bill Clinton is most likely to be remembered for the fact that he preferred making love to making war.
