I RECENTLY ran out of the herb oregano. At my local Tesco I bought a refill packet containing two sachets. The contents of both sachets failed to fill up my glass spice jar. I checked the weight on the packet - 7g. The price was pounds 1.05. If my maths is correct, this makes oregano pounds 68.10 per pound. It certainly is rip-off Britain. I am one Spice Girl who will be growing her own from now on.
