WOMAN'S BODY IS FOUND NEAR LYNSEY'S HOME
PETER BEALPOLICE searching for a missing woman found a body yesterday, hours after her husband was charged with her murder.
Lynsey Quy, 21, vanished from the home she shared with husband Mitchell, 25, in late 1998.
Her husband is currently in custody accused of her murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
His father Michael, 52, was remanded on bail on a similar conspiracy charge while Mitchell's brother-in-law Elliott, 22, is accused of helping to dispose of her body.
The body of a woman was yesterday found in Birkdale village, Southport, near the house the Quys shared with their two children. A police spokesman said post-mortem results were unlikely before next week.
Mitchell is charged with murdering his former barmaid wife between December 1998 and February 1999.
He and Michael are accused of pretending she was still alive for nearly a year.
