Papier-mache me
Robyn TateWe start the year with this fun project, which builds fine motor and listening skills. First we cover balloons with papier-mache. Then the children paint the balloons to resemble themselves. Finally we attach inexpensive dowels from the hardware store and take our puppets on parade! The children love showing their project to the rest of the school.--Robyn Tate, Baker, Calif.
