This report describes what happened on Sept. 11, 2001, and discusses the nation's preparedness and response, along with exacting analysis and recommendations; it is well organized and simply flows. The audiobook is presented through nine readers (Grover Gardner, Kate Fleming, Jay O. Sanderss, Scott Brick, Barbara Rosenblat, Susie Breck, Ralph Cosham, Dan Cashman, Dick Hill), which is an excellent device for this material. All read with strength and clarity, but only a hint of inflection: the impact is increased by the stark words of description and examination. Highly recommended. Vivian Berg, Mandan, ND
