May 8 issue a keeper
Tony RossThe wonderful variety of themes discussed in the May 8 issue following the election of the present pope will replace some five or six books and too many articles I keep in my library for dialogue with fellow Catholics who want to know why I am so distempered by the church since JP II
Since I am a lover of the faith as reborn by Vatican II under Pope John XXIII, which fallen back into the gloom that preceded it, I will particularly cherish Andrew Greeley's In Church's Dreams, Vatican II Never Happened. It's all there, and it is always fun to watch those who dismiss Greeley as a writer of common love stories.
Then, as well, everyone else is in top form in this issue. This possibly means a funeral for the status quo.
Maybe some will add CNT to their on-line world, or notice it in a cafe.
