Giants - poem
Tanya Tyler-JonesI am deep Black womanhood as old as ancient dirt My man, Blacker than eternal night, fashioned by tomorrow WE ARE GIANTS! And when we walk, and when we walk the mating grounds, we trounce mountaintops beneath our toes, singe our hair past golden suns, splash rivers from their beds ... WE ARE GIANTS! And when we love, and when we love, we pull the Nile up over our heads, turn on the stars, kiss Mother Africa on the lips and spawn the next generation of GIANTS to claim the hills and valleys ... We are deep, BLACK LOVE!
