This Valley Voice a tribute to grads

Welcome to the annual high school graduation edition of the Voice. In this section, you'll find stories for parents and graduates, times and places of graduation ceremonies, and lists of students graduating from area schools.

Also included are profiles and photos of participating valedictorians, and essays from graduates. The profile information was written by correspondent Treva Lind, based on students' responses to our questionnaires.

The intelligence and accomplishments of these students may seem intimidating at first. But we can take comfort in the fact that our community - and our country - eventually will be guided by such knowledge and idealism.

And older readers can find refuge in the hope that this generation will not only create a better society but also support their aging predecessors.

The staff of this section congratulates the region's educators for helping these students reach their fullest potential.

We congratulate all the region's high school graduates as they take this giant step into adulthood.
