Geeks, movies are all about you this summer
Todd Camp, Christopher KellySo you live in your parents' basement, your skin is the color of wallpaper paste and the last time you went on a date we were at war with Grenada.
It's OK. There's nothing to be ashamed of. We all have a little bit of the geek in us.
Besides, your time has finally come.
This summer, Hollywood is all about you. Starting this weekend with "X2: X-Men United," the next four months are going to be a fan boy's delight. Comic-book junkies will get their fixes with Ang Lee's much-anticipated big-screen version of "The Hulk" and an adaptation of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" series, starring Sean Connery.
Video-game nuts can look forward to "The Matrix Reloaded," as well as a sequel to "Tomb Raider." If Nick-at-Nite reruns are your thing, you can check out the "Charlie's Angels" sequel or "S.W.A.T."
In fact, it's so cool to be a geek these days that we've decided only a select few should even be allowed to "read" our summer preview. Are you nerd enough for this summer's movies? Take our quiz and find out. If you pass, we'll let you turn the page. Maybe, just maybe, we'll even tell you about a movie or two that doesn't feature grown men in spandex costumes. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) So, sharpen that No. 2 pencil and get ready. Good luck.
