Manning musings
Jeffrey AndersonI felt so bad for Peyton Manning after the Indianapolis Colts' loss to the New England Patriots in the playoffs this season. Manning had such an incredible season, and it was a shame to see it end that way. For whatever reason, he just can't seem to beat the Patriots. Manning is everything a football player should be, but the problem is, he won't truly be recognized as such until he reaches the Super Bowl. One of these years, it will happen. And I'll be roofing for him as hard as anyone. By the way, I love your magazine.

Peyton Manning is a choker. Every time a really big game comes up, you can count on him to fold. What's the point of putting up all those great numbers in the regular season if you can't get it done in the postseason? I think he's the most overrated player in football.

Well, Stuart, that means you probably won't like this issue much. As we're sure you've noticed, it has Manning on the cover. Why? Because he's our Player of the Year. We agree that his postseason record is spotty, but since our award is based on regular-season accomplishments, he was an obvious choice for Player of the Year.
