Imperial widens distribution network - News

With sights set on expanding coverage in the Midwest and Southeast, Imperial Pools Manufacturing & Distribution has added three distribution centers.

The new centers are located in Memphis, Tenn.; Greenville, S.C.; and Cincinnati. That gives the company a total of 10 locations in seven states.

"The dealers were calling for a choice," said Charlie Vennard, senior vice president of the Latham, N.Y.-based firm. "They want more options when buying their pool supplies, and we will be there to offer them that choice."

Each of the centers covers 30,000 square feet and has warehousing, packaging and shipping capabilities. All of the new facilities will distribute the same items as the other Imperial locations.

"The expansion is consistent with our long-term strategy and direction," Vennard said. He added that the company is looking to further increase its Midwest and Southeast expansion, and would do so if the opportunity arises.
