Editor's Corner
Ashfaq IshaqDear Readers,
In the early years of ICAF, we used the slogan--The Future of Art is Young! This issue shows it's indeed true. Children anywhere can be exceptional artists at any age. Their artistic talents are the provenance of our hope for the future. We learn from their works of art, which enhance our perspective and emotions.
You will meet several emerging artists in this issue. They are from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe. All are innately creative and artistic. Some have the good fortune of strong arts education in their schools. A few have even attended art workshops. Others are entirely self-taught. Their teachers, parents and relatives have encouraged them. When they felt like painting they picked up a paintbrush and started a new journey, during which they learn every day and teach us along the way.
This issue reminds us about the importance of nurturing every child's creativity. It paints hope for the future and brings into focus the significance of arts and design education in schools worldwide.
Yes, the Future of Art is Young!
