摘要:This review essay summarizes major themes in Ursula Goodenough's The Sacred Depths of Nature and
in several of her recent shorter publications. I describe her religious naturalism and her effort to
craft a global ethic grounded in her penetrating account of nature. I suggest several parallels
between Goodenough's "deep" account of nature and Michael Polanyi's ideas.
