摘要：Supraventricular tachyarrhythmias are frequently associated with hyperthyroidism. We report the rare case of a patient posted for urethroplasty where unexplained supraventricular tachycardia led to the diagnosis of subclinical hypothyroidism. Replacement therapy with Levothyroxine was started and the thyroid function tests reverted to normal. The patient underwent an uneventful surgery thereafter. A detailed thyroid evaluation must be carried out in patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
