  • 摘要:Sensitivity of Raphidocelis subcapitata (Chlorococcales, Chlorophyta) to copper sulfate and zinc sulfate through chonic toxicity tests Chronic toxicity tests, analyzing algal growth inhibition after 96 hours, were made to measure the sensitivity of Raphidocelis subcapitata (formerly known as Selenastrum capricornutum) to copper sulfate (CuSO4.5H2O) and zinc sulfate (ZnSO4.7H2O). Growth inhibition followed a negative exponential pattern as a function of increasing concentration of both substances, being described by the following equations: N96 = Ni . e-5,581.C(Cu); N96 = Ni . e-5,452.C(Zn); where N96 is the number of cells after 96 hours of cultures and C(Cu) and C(Zn) are concentrations (mg.L-1) of copper sulfate and zinc sulfate, respectively. CE(I)50;96h values demonstrate a greater sensitivity of R. subcapitata to copper (0,154 mg.L-1) in comparison to zinc (0,215 mg.L-1). The sensitivity of R. subcapitata to copper sulfate ranged from 0,099 to 0,209 mg.L-1 and to zinc sulfate from 0,163 to 0,267 mg.L-1.
