Part III. Heliconiinae and Libytheinae
This study aimed to identify and record Nymphalidae specimens from Rio Grande do Sul, and
upgrade existing species lists for this family. The material used in this study consisted on mounted and
labeled butterflies from collections, literature review and insects collected in the field. Results showed
the presence of 26 species of Heliconiinae and one of Libytheinae. Actinote parapheles Jordan, 1913 is
new record for the state.
