  • 摘要:In western societies, every school with adolescent students currently faces the challenge of educating them integrally, coaching their personal, social, vocational and spiritual development, and not only of preparing them academically. Erikson's theory on the psico-social task of developing the identity during adolescence is the starting point to describe the perspectives of Kentenich on the integral education and about the role of schools in relation to the development during adolescence. The main objective of the study is to present the pedagogical conception of Josef Kentenich (1885-1968) and to describe its application to a school which is committed to giving a privileged attention to the integral development of its students. We decide for a case study in Chile, about the high school level of a Kentenich school. The presentation of findings refers to the intended formative curriculum, its implementation in the high school level and the results achieved, which have been surveyed by means of questionnaires and of the perception of some members of the educational community. The conclusions point out: i) the coherent and consequent application of Kentenich's conception in all the formative dimension of the school, namely in secondary education; ii) quite positive results as to the integral development of the students; iii) the possibility that Kentenich's pedagogy can apply to other aspects of the educative process; iv) the probable applicability of this pedagogical model in other cultural and educative contexts.
