摘要：The paper is devoted to the concept of deterrence. After a brief review of the conceptual framework of the so–called paradox of deterrence, it focuses on the two concepts of ‘integrity in deliberation’ and ‘emotional assets’ in order to show that they are intrinsic part of the description of an agent as rational and thus not in contradiction with the intention to retaliate.
