摘要:Management fashions has been defined as relatively transitory beliefs supported by its followers through mimesis and suggested to emerge in case of a lack of intransitory and general theories. Related literature has tended to focus on emergence and diffusion of management fashions, roles of fashion suppliers and adopters. Some recent criticism, however, emphasizes drawbacks of the use of commercial product analogy, presumed roles of agents and highlights to the importance of contextuality and interpretation during the adoption process. This paper, conceptual in nature, analyses propositions of the related literature and looks into the criticisms directed toward these propositions.
