摘要：Serious organizational transformations have been observed at the higheducation system of most countries recently. Most universities, perceived as aregional development dynamic, have gradually strived to put entrepreneurialprinciples into practice. The main purpose of this study is to investigaterelationships between entrepreneurial universities and regional development.Firstly, the role of universities on the regional development is mentioned.Secondly, the phenomenon of entrepreneurial universities with their maincharacteristics is studied. Besides, given examples of American and Europeanuniversities, their contributions to regional development are explored.
