摘要：This study examines Local Development Agencies(LDAs) in the theory and practice. LDAs’characteristics, history and different countryexperiences are investigated by considering thelocal development approach, It can be primarilydeduced from these experiences that LDAs haveworked in the developing countries from the 1990s,produced multi-dimensional and quite effectiveresults in local development. Therefore, theseagencies supported by international organizationssuch as ILO, UNDP, UNOPS, FAO and EU can beevaluated as an important instrument of localdevelopment.
