摘要：ENGLISH:In this work I will try to make an analysis and empirical reflection on the figure of the professor, co-protagonist of the didactic act. Much of the professors is expected, which demands that they are professional with high qualification, prepared intellectually and that they value their own work and the necessity of formation and recycling, because if there is a profession that constantly must be recycle that one is the educational function. Throughout the following pages we will reflect on centered important pedagogical questions in the professor of Spanish like foreign language, such as the formation, personality, motivation or effectiveness.SPANISH:En este trabajo trataré de realizar un análisis y reflexión empírica sobre la figura del profesor, coprotagonista del acto didáctico. Se espera mucho de los profesores, lo cual exige que sean profesionales con alta capacitación, preparados intelectualmente y que valoren su propio trabajo y la necesidad de formación y reciclaje, porque si hay una profesión que constantemente deba reciclarse ésa es la función docente. A lo largo de las siguientes páginas reflexionaremos sobre cuestiones pedagógicas importantes centradas en el profesor de español como lengua extranjera, tales como la formación, personalidad, motivación o eficacia.
