摘要:This work has as objective to study the power relationships articulated among groups of interests in a cooperative organization starting from the occurrence of a negotiation and decision making process. It consists of a case study based on theoretical proposals that approach power as a relational phenomenon that presupposes the existence of conflicts of interests, the development of individual and collective action strategies and the negotiations among the different agents that act in a specific organizational space. The results analyses, when evidencing the favor and adverse tactics practiced by different groups of interests, unmask the particularities of the power exercise in the studied cooperative organization. This politician exercise assumes a circular connotation in which the groups of interests in dispute had traced their action strategies, including a coalition formation and the control of the communication process and of privileged information that had been decisive in the power asymmetries construction that had marked the negotiation and decision making process investigated.It is believed that the reflections contained in the present work can contribute so much to the advance of the knowledge regarding the power relationships as for the understanding of the studied cooperative organization’s management practices.
