摘要:This article seeks to assess the efficiency of organizational strategies when dealing with product Piracy, which is identified here as an 'hetero-rational' influence on organizations, distinct from the economic rationale taken into consideration by most theories. The theoretical review conducted here seeks to deduct specific directions indicated against Piracy and is followed by a survey of actions followed by companies against illegal competitors, with the objective of verifying its efficacy and to compare them against recommendations by theories. Analysis has indicated that companies avoid usage of traditional strategical instruments against pirate manufacturers, leaving any measure to delegate organizations. Thus, they give up the possibility of a more effective association with these organizations, yielding to their objectives and methods. This kind of attitude is the result of a traditional strategic perspective, that begs for a new theoretical perspective that will take into consideration this type of contingency in order to obtain better results in the struggle.
