摘要:We examined stomach contents of 117 species of birds of the Eastern Andes of Colombia, using specimens collected by the Grupo de Exploración y Monitoreo Ambiental of the Instituto Humboldt. We describe in detail the diets of Myrmotherula schisticolor, Basileuterus cinereicollis, Chlorospingus ophthalmicus, Heliodoxa leadbeateri and Mionectes olivaceus based on: (1) number of prey items consumed and (2) area occupied by each prey item. We include notes on the diet of the endangered Macroagelaius subalaris, on Cyanolyca viridicyana, Xiphorhynchus triangularis and Buarremon brunneinucha which consumed vertebrates and a brief description the diets of all the examined birds. We found that the number of prey items consumed does not always reflect the area occupied by different prey items; this confirms the need to analyze diets using more than one criterion to minimize biases in these analyses.
