摘要：In this article we follow a trajectory that goes from a conceptual and etymological analysis until an epistemological quest that explores the position of the Information Science in the presence of the so called Communication Sciences. We wish also to list and determine with some rigour the shapes of the I.S. objects, with themes, problems and case studies, shared or not by the C.S. The enquiry of the eventual allotment of a common object, between the two sciences, brings to light indispensable concepts as multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity and leads to the proposal that theCommunication Sciences constitutes an interdiscipline to witch the constructive contribute of the I.S. reveal itself natural and fecund.
