摘要:The globalization of mass media communication is now a reality. Political Communication through the Media is the medium through which the Political System influences Public Opinion. The “Public Opinion” conceptualization it’s quite recent, and traditionally has been empirically based on quantitative methods, polls, surveys. This article explores the possibility of the existence of a Worldwide Public Opinion. In a Globalized World, where each state has a distinct power of influence, we presume that the strongest states have more power to influence the Worldwide Public Opinion. Nevertheless, there are some cognitive and political conditions that interfere in this communication process. This work debates the (in)existence of an Worldwide Public Opinion, as well as the attempts of the strongest states in order to dominate the circulation of information, aiming to influence the Worldwide Public Opinion.
