摘要：Women victims of domestic violence: Understanding subjected subjectivities
This work intends to revise and discuss some concepts commonly involved in investigations with women
victims of couple and domestic violence, among them, concepts of family violence, couple and domestic
violence, as well as notions of gender violence, several times erroneously used as synonyms in research and
scientific literature. Later, we discuss some subjects, such as transmission intergenerational of violence,
naturalization of stereotyped gender roles, alcoholism, poverty and lack of social support as factors
associated to submission and subjection processes of women who have suffered violence. At the end, we
introduced some inquiries that have place in our practice in which concern to understand the complex issue
of violence against women in couples, family and domestic contexts.
