摘要：The aim of this research was to evaluate the Burnout Syndrome and its association with socio demographic, academic and psychosocial variables in a sample of 514 students from a private university of Porto Alegre’s metropolitan region. The instruments were the MBI-SS (Maslach Burnout Inventory – Student Survey) and a questionnaire to assess remaining variables. The instruments were applied in classrooms randomly selected. Results showed a medium/low index of Emotional exhaustion, low index of disbelief, and a high index of professional efficiency. An association between the burnout dimensions and socio-demographic, academic and psychosocial variables were also found.
