摘要：In this note we present the first breeding record of Haplospiza rustica (Slaty Finch) in Ecuador, and compare our results with available data from Sánchez (2005). Differences were found in structure and nest location. The finding of this nest coincided with flowering and fruiting of Chusquea sp.; we therefore suggest that the breeding in H. rustica benefits from the phenological events of this genus of Poaceae, as previously reported in the literature.
