摘要：The construction of Latin-American youth’s image in Barcelona has
been deeply linked to the so-called “latin gangs”, featured by the media as criminal and
sectarian. Although the criteria that have ruled the first strategies correspond with this
characterization, several factors allow both a different conceptualization and a policy
similar to those applied to cultural and youth’s associations. The present article is a
chronicle of the a participative intervention with street organizations in Barcelona based
on a research in which we have participated.
